Your migration store was created with a previous version of FAST. Please
collect using the current blah blah blah....So whats the fix?
Anyone? Please?

I have read the posts and noone has posted the answer to this one yet. The
canned responses do not address this issue.

Can you not collect with the current edition?

Assuming this is a Windows XP SP1 vs SP2 issue, you should be able to use
the FAST wizard off the Windows XP SP2 CD to collect from the old computer
and use the same method to import to the new computer.

Sorry forgot to mention this was a reimage. So no chance to redo the
collection. Collection was from an XP upgrade from 2000. Reimage is a clean
install of XP version that i used to do the upgrade from 2000.

Do you still have the upgrade CD you used to upgrade the 2000 box to XP?
You could use the FAST there to likely apply the exported profile.

The answer to that will depend on the Service Pack and patch level of your
OLD PC (the one you were taking the profile from) and the Service Pack and
patch level of your NEW PC (the one you were putting the old profile onto.)

If the old Windows XP machine was Service Pack 1 and the new install was
Service Pack 2 - then it is entirely possible/plausible that you exported
with an older version of FAST and the new version of FAST (for whatever
insane reason - you really have me on this one - bad call on backwards
compatibility point MS..) just cannot read/use the export from the older
version.
