FATAL: Client call recorder fails to init with error 0x80004015

Dear All:

The Automatic Updates services is stopped. When I try to start it
again, I get this error:
Could not start the Automatic Updates service on local computer. Error
0x80004015: The class is configured to run as a security ID different
from the caller.

The following error's description appears in windowsupdate.log file:

It is a windows XP (ghost image) computer. We are using WSUS 2.0
running on Windows Server 2000.

I have checked WSUS after restart and get this error:

Error: Agent failed detecting with reason: 0x80072ee2

But Automatic Update service is started.

The command lines reset the correct security identifiers for the services
"BITS" and "Automatic Updates".

Typically the cause of the error is because some ambitious Active Directory
engineer has engineered some changes in security accounts and/or parameters
for desktop services and leaked the policy into production.

Other causes are local users with admin permissions that ought not to have
them.
