I installed the latest critical updates on 02/10/05 which included .Net
Framework 1.0 Service Pack 3. Sparing you all of the other problems I had
after rebooting my machine, I have at least one problem left which is a fatal
exception error that occurs immediately when my desktop loads. This error
also occurs at various points while I am on computer.
I believe after reading the other posts it has to do with the .Net Framework
1.0 Service Pack 3. I had already deleted the .Net Framwork under the
Add/Remove programs while trying to get my computer to a usable state (no
blue screen). I have since tried to re-install this again, but always get
the fatal exception error. I have gone thru windows update, and also managed
to get the file
NDP1.0sp3-KB886903-X86-Enu.exe on my hard drive, but again unable to run the
executable.
If I check under my administrative tools, it shows my .Net framework config
& wizards shortcut. However, those don't work either (was trying to find out
what service pack was installed)...again the Fatal Execution. I'm going in
circles here and don't know what to do anymore.
I have Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002, Service Pack 1.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Steph
