Thank you, TaurArian;

I just tried that. Got:

"Setup could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure the
Cryptographic service is running on this computer.

(it is running)

Download Dial-a-fix from http://wiki.djlizard.net/Dial-a-fix_beta and use
its option to repair Cryptographic services. You might then need to restart
Windows. Then try your update again.

Could be an indication that the cryptographic service isn't working properly
See: http://www.updatexp.com/cryptographic-service.html
and http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;822798
Method 2: Set Cryptographic Services to automatic

If the cryptographic services is okay, perhaps you may need to rename the
Catroot2 folder

see:-You cannot install some updates or programs
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;822798
Method 3: Rename the Catroot2 folder

Was a little afraid to use that 3rd-part package, so tried renaming catroot2
first.

That did the trick!

Many thanks to you both,
- Alan
