Fatal system error after update and reboot

Please help me with an ongoing problem. I am running an AMD 3000+ on
an Epox board with 1 G of PC2700 ram. The computer works flawlessly
with great speed and dependability until I run Windows Update. No
matter how I update (auto or man) express or custom, 34 update
download and install with out fail. Then when I reboot I get this:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The session manager initialization system process terminated
unexpectedly with a
Status of 0xc000026c (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.

The only way out of the blue screen is to do a repair installation.
Unfortunately there is no event log running to help with the
troubleshooting, so I am pleading for any assistance from anyone.

Hi,

Please try and install the updates one at a time to see if just one of the
updates are causing this issue.
