Hi:

I have a Favorites folder in the Contacts list that shows up only when I
click to open New e-mail and is in the list of Contacts. It does not appear
in my normal list of Contacts. Only when I open a new e-mail does it appear.

What is it for and how do I get rid of it? I can't find any options or
manner in which to delete it.

Thanks,

ColTom2

as far as i know , it can't be deleted. i suppose they consider it a
"feature" used only for mass mailing's.

WLM and WLMsgr both use the same Contact database.

From the WLMsgr online Help
<qp>
Organize contacts as favorites
To help make frequently used contacts easier to find, you can organize some of your contacts so that they appear in a list of
favorite (A special category of contacts that appears at the top of your contact list.) contacts that’s separate from your other
lists of contacts. Your list of favorites appears at the top of your contact list.

To add a contact as a favorite, drag the contact into the favorites category.

To remove a contact as a favorite, right-click the contact, and then click Remove from favorites.

By default, favorite contacts appear in the order that you add them as favorites. To change the position of a favorite contact in
your list of favorites, right-click the contact, and then click Move up or Move down until the contact is in the position that you
want. Alternatively, you can drag the contact to the position that you want.

Note
You can expand or collapse your list of favorite contacts.
