Hi,

I know this is only a small gripe. But is there any way to make the browse
menu under "add to favourites" show an unexpanded tree with small boxed
crosses like it has been until Vista?

I cant get my eyes tuned to it the way it is now and its making the sorting
of favourites a real chore.

TIA

Hi Spikey,

You can change your color scheme to "Windows Classic" to have the old
folder tree view back. This tutorial will show you how.

Some alternatives are:

1. Change the Open Folder icon to make it easier to see which folder is
open in the folder tree.

2. You can change how the Windows Explorer shortcut opens so the folder
tree is not expanded when you first open it. See step 5 with the
"%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe C:\,/select" example.

Hope this helps you,
Shawn

Sorry brinks none of these seem to be addressing the problem. Changing to
windows classic had no effect (other than colour), - the browse menu under
"add to favourites" was just the same.

To clairfy:- as I wasnt sure whether I'd explained it well enough.

In an internet explorer page click "favourites", then "Add to favourites".
Click the side arrow of the "create in" drop box and you see the expanded
menu which i would like to see unexpanded..

Spikey,

That clears things up completely. I am unaware of a way to change
that. I hope it is possible to, and that someone knows how.
