Hello,

I have deployed a new Failover Cluster with 2 Nodes in Windows 2008 R2
version.

All it's fine, except the CSV ressource for who I get issue : " The CSV disk
is on Shared Access Mode".

Event 5126 from FailoverClustering was writted in the System journal Log.
it Said :

VolSnap
"

" Short translate of the error: Multi drivers access to the csv disk :
Driver found VolSnap"

Of course, I can't come back the CSV disk in normal mode.

I think the first time that the MPIO drivers will be the source. I have
checked the last MPIO drivers from Intel ,check windows update, network
configuration ( smb on the private network is available).
Destruct and recreate the disk and the issue is the same.

But now, i think the answer will be out of there. May be the Vss service ?

My Configuration :
Hardware : Nec FlexPower ( Blade and San, all in One) who include :
Two Intel Storage Control Module
Two Nic Switch
4 Blades.
Storage Control Module : Firmware 3.3.140.18

OS : Windows 2008 R2 Entreprise build 7600
No Antivirus.

Sas : Driver version
MPIO Intel - latest driver version -

I have contacted with my manufacturer but at this time, i get no answer.

may be you can help me ?

Thank You

Brice

I found the issue :
Before I create the cluster, I run a Windows Backup of the node, on the
local disk , who will be the CSV disk. So now; i have on it a snapshot, that
i can see with vssadmin list shadow command :

Contenu du jeu de clichés instantanés n° :
{bd114be8-de5f-449c-8446-4f4268766ccf}
Contenait 1 clichés instantanés Ã* la date de création : 23/10/2009 14:56:31
ID du cliché instantané : {57be6265-161a-45ad-a36c-23bdf52dde07}
Volume original : (D\\?\Volume{e44aed82-f636-481c-9fdf-017d06294b16}\
Volume de cliché instantané : \\?LOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy4
Ordinateur d'origine : HV1.
Ordinateur de service : HV1.
Fournisseur : 'Microsoft Software Shadow Copy provider 1.0'
Type : DataVolumeRollback
Attributs : Persistent, Pas de libération automatique, Aucun rédacteur,
Différentielle

But i can't delete the snapshot. Not with vssadmin or wbadmin.

How I can Do ?

Thank You

not sure if this is right, but i did a little digging and it looks like if
you do properties of the disk (in my computer or whatever) there should be a
shadow copies tab (i dont have a server with this on so i cant check) and
from pictures i see there is a delete option from there of all copies you
have.
i would first delete the copies and then make sure its disabled.

im mostly just guessing here

good luck

Justin
