Feature for Photo Gallery

I have been suing Vista for a while now, and really like it. I do quite a bit
with digital photo's and in the past have been using such packages as Picassa
for fixing and organizing my images. The Microsoft Photogallery is a great
package, but it is missing one important feature, "Rotate". There are many
situations in which I find my photo may not be exactly level, and picassa has
a great feature to rotate and level the image. It would be great to see this
feature in the microsoft package, so I can remove Picassa from my PC.

You can find the controls to rotate an image clockwise or anticlockwise at
the bottom of the Photo Gallery window.

It's available in Office Picture Manager if you have Office 2003 or 2007.
Picture Mgr is not installed by default. You have to add it from the
installation disk. BTW, Office costs plenty, while Picasa is free.

You CAN rotate. There are arrows to the left of the red X (for delete) at
the bottom of the gallery. One arrow bends to the left, the other to the
right. You can rotate your picture that way.

As for leveling? No. I assume you're talking about the feature where you can
draw a line across the picture and then the picture is turned and cropped so
that the line you drew is now horizontal? I've seen that with other
picture-manipulation software. I think that's probably too complicated for
something like photo gallery, which I think is mainly designed to let you
view your photos and not so much to manipulate them.
