In case the programmers for the next version of Messenger haven't thought of
it yet, it would be really nice if the chat windows had a color consistent
with that of the Main window.

Greetings,

Actually you've been able to change the colour scheme so all the windows match since MSN
Messenger 6.0. There's a default colour which affects the main contact list and all
conversation windows (unless another colour has been chosen or a specific background).

You can change this colour by opening the main window, click the Colour icon on the toolbar
(looks like a paintbrush), and choose what you want.

Hi,

Inactive windows are a bit lighter than when the active ones, but I see your point -- you
just want the same gradient effect.

It's still the same colour though, it's just the top that's different.
