I think it would be great if you could "opt out" on new emoticons and such...
Also, have you done anything recently with the colors/skinning support? i
would love to be able to have "the opossite of pastel" and the ability for,
let's say windowblinds, to skin my messenger...

Greetings,

You can turn off custom emoticons in Tools, Options, Messages category is that what you mean
by "new" emoticons?

The skinning thing has been coming up since MSN Messenger 6, it's certainly possible (and
people have already done so via resource editing as you probably already know) but whether or
not it'll actually become a "feature" remains to be seen. Every release it gets taken out of
consideration for one reason or another.

thanks for the emoticons... yes i meant those lol...
as for skinning... all i say is a way so messenger "undresses" when asked
to, and seems like any other dialog for xp, that way, windowblinds or similar
software, could pick the app up and skin it.
