What about allowing the user to set the maximum size of the Messenger cache?
This would deem useful for many users.

That is where all your winks, emoticons, contact list, display pictures,
etc... are stored

For example, when a contact sends you a emoticon, or changes his or her
display picture, it saves a copy of their display picture, and the emoticon,
on your computer, in something that is called the Messenger Cache, its like
when you visit a website, it saves a copy of the images on the site into
your Cache, so the next time when you visit the site, you wont have to
re-download all of those images. But, after a while, your cache size can get
pretty big, and the larger the cache, sometimes, it will take longer to
signin.
