I've been getting the error message: "Generic Host Process for Win32
Services has encountered a prob" on my computer and from researching
this on google groups, it seems that the February Windows updates may
be to blame. There were nine of them. Does anyone know which of the
nine is causing the problem, so I can just uninstall that one, or do I
need to uninstall them all?

<>,

We use Win32 Generic Service to perform Windows Updates, so no--we are unaware
of a specific update that causes this problem, but one workaround for you might
be to perform a System Restore to that time. That is a long time back, though,
so it may not be worth it for you.

As to the specific issue, are you now prevented from installing Windows Updates?
If so, are you able to at least see the Windows Updates you need? If so, click
the More... with the description of each of those items and go to the website
for that update. Download directly from the site yourself and reboot as
necessary. It is entirely possible that it will be easier to diagnose the issue
after you have "manually" patched yourself.

Let us know how this goes.

Sincerely,
