February Updates

After installing the February updates on 2/12 I notice on start up that some
program seems to be running in background and is really slowing down the
opening of windows office programs like outlook. In fact, I get "program not
responding" messages. If I let the computer do its thing for about 4 to 5
minutes everything seems to work fine. Did these new updates do something
which would cause this activity on start up.

I should add that I run Vista Ultimate.
