Fehler 0x80245003

Hallöchen,
habe anscheinend nach einer Systemwiederherstellung mir meine Autom. Updates
verbockt. Fehler Nummer 0x80245003
habe nach anleitung von Microsoft versucht abhilfe zu schaffen, klappt aber
nicht. net stop wuauserv updates angehalten oder so ähnlich
rmir/s%windir%\softwaredistribution\wuredir dann kommt allerdings
"Parameterformat nicht korrekt sC:\WINDOWS\softwaredistribution\wuredir
net start wuauserv update start wieder okay
aber es geht trotzdem nicht.
Hab nicht viel Ahnung von PC, kann mir daher jemand helfen!

my english is verry bad but i try to help you

search the map softwaredistribution in in windows
than open it
search map WuRedir and try to change it in WuRedir.old
than try update again

Thank you very much! I had the same problem and even your english wasn't the
best. I was worried I couldn't update ever again.

"Gars": I found an answer from MowGreen and made a copy in this subject hope
you find it helpful.

Show hidden files, folders, and system files:

Using Windows Explorer, navigate to
WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution
Delete the contents of WuRedir or drag the entire folder to the Recycle Bin
IF you get a message that a file is in use by another program, then stop
the Automatic Update service by going to Start > Run > type in

net stop wuauserv
Click OK or press Enter
Restart the service after doing the above from Start > Run > type in

net start wuauserv
Click OK or press Enter

Then download and SAVE the latest version of the Windows Update Agent,
if it hasn't already come down via Automatic Updates :
x86 [32bit]

Download and save KB927891 if it hasn't already come down via AU :
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...9-404327772E5A

Install WUA first, then run WindowsXP-KB927891-v3-x86-ENU.exe

I don't understand why Microsoft doesn't give the answer!

Thank you so much, this also fixed the problem with windows defender (error
read unable to check for new definitions) whats with microsoft support??

Thanx Rex for replying, but I neglected to inform that my op is Vista, I
"assumed" this was a Vista prob, not a XP prob also. So when I tried at the
prompt, I received access denied.
