Fejlkode: 0x80070643

I get the Errorcode 0x80070643 when I try to update my PC.

I get the error with the latest updates to Office 2003 - I use Windows XP.

Any Solutions?

Machine: A laptop from Dell: Latitude D530
Danish Windows XP with all updates (SP3 ++++)
Danish Office 2003

The updates, that won't install:
KB955564
KB955439
KB948988
KB955434
KB921598
KB951548

Error code 0x80070643 is a generic one. You can contact MS for no-charge
support in getting the Security updates installed:

Thank You for the response.

I tried several things...

1. I started the service: OSE - Properties were... "Manual" but "Stopped"
Microsoft Update again - Failed to install updates.

2. Copied ose.exe from the Office-cd to the harddisk.
Microsoft Update again - Failed to install updates.

3. Uninstalled Office - Rebooted - Installed Office.
Microsoft Update again - Now it works.

Happy me closes the thread.

Nice work, john. The installation failures may have result from running
a registry or disk cleanup tool that removed the reference to where
Office was installed from. When the updates come down they look for the
installer files and if they're not found they fail to install.
