Few BSOD messages

Hi guys, I am new here and have been reading thread after thread tryin
to figure this out

Few days ago I started getting random BSOD's, then my PC wouldn't eve
start. I wasn't paying attention to them at this time. I reformatte
(had been over a year anyway) and did a fresh install of Vista, an
problems are still there, even after running all of the updates

I start paying attention at this point, and see that I am getting IRQ
not less or equal, as well as page fault in non paged area - win32k.sy

I have tried reading the dumps, but I have no idea what I'm lookin
at/for. If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.
From the research I've been doing, I understand it's probably a memor
or motherboard dimm slot issue. I have 4x1gb, which was a bit finnick
at first (I am an overclocker) but had been fine for ~8 months. Ther
was no significant hardware or software change that could have cause
the problem. I've tried 1 stick, and it seemed okay for a while, bu
then BSOD'd. I ran 2gb in dual channel slots 1 and 3, and got a BSOD.
I am now in slots 2 and 4, and so far I haven't seen anything

Here are my dump files. If there is any other info I can give, pleas
let me know. I have just started with the whole BSOD dump file thing
so please be easy on me :

Hi, chaloux.

Whatever "forum" you posted your question on has relayed it to the Microsoft
public news server, where I am reading it. It's frustrating for me to Reply
to such posts because I'm never sure that the "forum" is relaying The Rest
Of The Story, and I never know if you are receiving help from others. If
you want to "cut out the middleman" and post directly to the "mothership",
just click here:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof....vista.general

In the meantime, though, when BSODs are RANDOM, it almost always points to
problems with your HARDWARE, not Windows or any other software. That means
the problem could be as simple as heat buildup, or power fluctuations, or
loose cables or... Or it could be bad - or incompatible - memory. Or
outdated drivers. Or lots of other factors that are hard to diagnose in a
newsgroup. :>(

Or THAT could very well be the problem in your case! Have you tried
underclocking to see if that helps?

(Posting in forum and newsgroup

Hi R.C.

Thanks for the reply. I originally posted on vistax64.com, and yo
were the
first reply

Anyway, that's what I had figured. Right now my PC is at completel
stock
settings. It's an E8400 with OCZ Platinum 6400 4-4-4-15, on
gigabyte
P35-DS3L

At this point, my PC still seems to be running fine with 2gb of ram i
slots
2 and 4. This leads me to think that it is either slot 1 or 3. Wit
4
sticks in, it won't even boot

I've checked over all the basics - temps are fine, airflow is good,
cables
are tight, etc.. When overclocked, the E8400 was running at 4050mhz
with the
RAM at 900 - a 100mhz overclock. These modules are fine up to 2.2v
which I
had them at, but never over. Like I said, I had complete stability
(prime/orthos tested, etc.)

If you can get any info from the dump files, or know someone wh
could, that
would be great. I don't know what I'm looking for or should b
seeing, so I
don't even know if the dumps are useful. I'll attach them in th
email

Thank

Alright, it looks like it's still happening. Was batching in Photosho
and kablammo. This time I got system_service_exception, pointing t
win32k.sy

When it shut down I tried switching out one stick - after a second o
two in Vista, another BSOD. This time, it was memory_management. Whe
it restarted again, I switched back to slot 1 and 3, and have been oka
for the last few minutes

Seems like it doesn't matter what stick is where - so either this is
motherboard issue, or isn't related to the memory/motherboard dimms a
all

Here are the new minidumps. Any help would be GREATLY appreciate
guys

Sigh... no one?

Just got a new one. Seems like playing Left 4 Dead is a good way to
make them happen. At this point, I am thinking its my motherboard as I
keep getting different messages. I'm going to try new videocard
drivers, and if that doesn't fix it, two sticks of 2gb ram (instead of
4x1gb), and finally, a new motherboard.

Here's the latest.
