A few notes on problems and kudos so far in my use of Live Messeng

• First, I’m running 8.0.0792.00 , but will be downloading the new build as
soon as I post these notes and thoughts I’ve been collecting over the last
few days.
• I get an error on the phone tab when I elect to edit my MSN Direct settings.
• It’s not simple to change my contact group types. For instance, I need one
for “clients” –and I found where to do that (accidentally) but it would be
nice to have “add new group” in the group selection dropdown menu.
• Color change option is nice! It’s quick and easy.
• I’d like to be able to “drag“ my contacts from one group to another and I
would prefer to be able to use drag and drop to arrange the order of my
contacts within a list.
• I’d like to be able to close up the top section with my info and the
bottom section-where video and ads run-along with the sidebar (on the left)
for a quick “minimized” option. I know I can eliminate the left side bar in
settings-but I don’t want to permanently remove it –just save on screen rest
estate when I need it.
• Is there a pc-to-pc phone all option? I don’t see a free option like Yahoo
offers.
• My Yahoo! Contacts aren’t immediately added when I type then in and their
online status never shows.
• And the kicker? My Yahoo offline messages are erased when msn live logs in
first – and they are gone forever. I use this offline feature a lot with
yahoo and need it to work on MSN.
