file and folder highlighting

before something nhappened I could point to a file or folder and it would
highlight bright blue and stay highlighted, even if I moved to cursor until I
clicked on it or moved to another file or folder. I loved this feature but
lost it cand cand seem to get it back no mat

Open Folder Options applet in the Control Panel. Enable Single-click to open
an item....
