File Association Problems........

I run Vista Ultimate and after uninstalling Google Chrome I can no
longer use my desktop shortcuts to web pages on the net. When I click on
any short cut a message comes up...

"This file does not have a program associated with it for preforming
this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control
panel."

Have tried to fix this problem without luck.

Since you forgot to tell us what you did to try and fix the problem, try

If already tried that, then please post back with the missing information so
people don't spend time suggesting things you've already done.

Have you tried resetting your default browser?

Hi all, sorry about not posting what I have already tried.

Malke I have tried the fixes you have suggested without luck.

Awec I have tried resetting Internet Explorer as the default als
without luck.

Haven't tried anything else.

Try a System Restore, preferably to before you installed Chrome.
