file copy

hi ,i,ve been using vista for about a year now and have noticed that copying
large files onto an external hard drive can be very slow when i say large i
mean 600mb to 1gbthis usualy takes about 5 mins is this usual

Hi Marty,

You might try steps 6 and 11 here to see if it can help. Sometimes a
antivirus program can slow the transfer down while it is scanning the
content.
