Hey all,

WHen I open the Save As window or File/New it opens in a small size, is
there a way to save the size of this window so everytime it opens to this new
larger size? I can do it fine with WinExplor but not with this dialog window.

Thanks.

Hi Abe,

You will need to reset the folder view settings first so Vista will
remember your window sizes and changes. Method Two in this tutorial
will show you how to do this. The download is the easiest way.

Now, open the "Save As" window and drag it the the size you want it to
open as, then close it. When you click Save As again to open it, it
should open as you last closed it. Just repeat for all the others in
each program.

Generaly speaking, the common File Open/Save As dialogs if implemented
correctly, will save their last used size and position for any
particular application.

If they open in the small size, you should see a button labeled "Browse
Folders" in the bottom left of the dialog. Clicking that will expand the
dialog to it's full size, and will change the button to "Hide Folders".

The next time you use the application, the File Open/Save As dialogs
should remember what they looked like the last time they where used.
