File server migration

Hi All,

I am in process of migrating file server (from win2k domain to win3k domain)
File server migration is intraforest migration.

Workststion, Users : yet to be migrated

I have migrated few test users and work station for testing.

Problem is some of the shares on file servers does not inhert permission and
user ID in old domain is diretly used for assigning NTFS permission. So
worried ehat whaapens once old domain is decommissioned.

There four i was to use ADMT security translation to apply permission to
shares on file server.

My usetion is it possible to do security translation for only one share on
file server just for testing and time that it takes for appling permission...

Please help...

Hello Ne0,

If you have a trust between the domains, what i assume when ADMT is used,
use robocopy from the support tools. It copies also permissions from source
to destination.
