I recently installed Update for Windows Vista (KB938979) and Update for
Windows Vista (KB938194) via Windows Update. Upon finishing the installation
and restarting, i went to the Knowledge Base article describing each Update.
I scrolled down to the File Information sections and noted the File Versions,
however when i checked them with the files on my computer, they were not the
same. I will use Wincal.exe as an example: on the KB article it says
Wincal.exe has the file version 6.0.6000.20628. However the one on my system
has file version 6.0.6000.16513. This occurs with all the other updated
files. The last five digits are always below 6.0.6000.206**. I have checked
in Update History and it clearly says the updates have been installed. Is
there something wrong with my installation?
