files and sound quality

i have been having some trouble , sometimes , when i download something , i
go to get he file i just downloaded and it isnt there its disappeared ? has
anyone had the same problem ? or can offer some suggestions , and 1 more is
the microphone quality in msn or skype , its totally clear , but when i use
me web camera at the same time their is a lot of noise in the
background..... ? i am using Vista home premuim, it never happen on Xp ...
