Files Missing

A few days ago one of my folders and all its contents disappeared,
checked the recycle bin and made sure it wasn't hidden so a restored m
computer to an earlier date, and the folder was there but the files wer
still gone. the files could be found in search but cannot be accesse
saying the shortcut has been changed or moved. Is there anyway to fi
this

Hi,

There are several freeware file recovery tools that work on the premise that
the space the files occupied has not yet been overwritten. Here is one that
I've used on multiple occasions:

Ummm, I have vista home premium, sry about not mentioning eariler. But i
found the files but they're in
C:\Users\******\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\ Recent and all in the
form of .lnk files how do i fix this?
