files in my documents

I have vista and ms office professional and until recently I have been able
to save and retrieve files in my documents with outlook item, but today when
I tried to open a file I could not open it, there was no error message just
will not open. tried uninstalling and reinstalling office but did not work.
any suggestions?

My Documents in Vista is not a real folder. It's a "junction" that points to the Documents folder. Navigate to the Documents folder and see if you can open your docs from there. In the future do not save anything to a folder that begins with "My".
