Files not registered for Microsoft Update

I am using IE7 and cannot run Microsoft Update. I get a message that says
files not registered for Microsoft Update. I tried using regsvr32 to
register the required files, but it still didn't work.

Any Suggestions

I had that problem also and found some help here, disable toolbars you don't
really need in IE7.
That for me, worked.
