Files wating to be written to cd

This is a common problem apparently, but in searching google, I don't find
an answer.

Every time I log, in a balloon pops up telling me I have files waiting to
be written to cd and asking me to click on the balloon to view the files.
When I do that, I am prompted to insert a cd or dvd in the drive. A window
then opens up which contains no files. Even if I log on with a disc in the
drive, I still get the baloon and if I click on it, I get the open window
with no files. One suggestion I saw on the Internet was to disable cd
writing in the device properties screens. I could see no option for this.

Anybody know how to clear this message

Thanks
Jim McColl

Try the following;
Right mouse clicking the message will probably give you a way to delet
the message & clear the cd writing software cache

When I right click the message disappears, but then comes back. I am using
windows explorer only, no special cd writing program

Open Windows explorer and go to the following

C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Window s\Burn\Bur

Replace <UserName> with whatever your logged on user name is. Here'
where Windows stores the temporary files waiting to be written to
CD/DVD. You should be able to select all files in here and delete i
without any issues

Once you delete everything in this folder, the annoying pop-up messag
will stop bothering you
