Finally deleted messages in the deleted Message Box

I had over 100 deleted messages stuck in the Deleted Message Box like many
others have reported. I tried ALL of the suggestions I found and nothing
worked. BUT I finally cleared it ALL out. You have to have the
maintenance option to delete upon exiting turned ON of course, which I'm sure
everybody does. Then one-by-one was deleted every time I closed EMail...then
opened it...and then closed again and so on....YES it took awhile but you
could see the Count going down by ONE each time! Of course that DOES NOT
fix the automatic delete process which I can't believe that Microsoft hasn't
released a FIX yet with all of the complaints. But once it was empty,
anything NEW from that point on would manually delete IF I went into the
folder and hit delete, YES I'm sure for each EMail. It's a PAIN but at
least it worked. I even have EMails stuck in the JUNK Mail folder that
won't delete and I haven't found a solution for that yet. Hopefully this
can work for YOU but with this Windows Mail System, there's NO
guarantees...!! I agree with one person, BRING BACK OUTLOOK if you can't
fix all of these problems!

I see I have the same exact issue as you after finally being able to
individually delete each one and there were close to 100 of them. You would
think they would not release a new system before working out all the bugs in
it. Bring back the old way I agree ,Vista itself has caused me other
problems. But for now I am happy to have gotten rid of all those e-mails.
However like you I still have one that is stuck in my JUNK folder.

What I had to do was go to edit and click on empty deleted folder 80 seperate
times and one by one they were gone. I do have my empty at close on but the
only way I cleared some stuck was the way I listed above. This software is a
piece of crap and no one from Micro soft knows how to fix the problem or will
not fix it.
