Where to find failed updates?

Some days ago "Definition Update 1.14.1408.8 for BETA Windows Defender
(KB915597)" failed with 0x36B1. Since then "Definition Update 1.14.1410.10
for BETA Windows Defender (KB915597)" has run successfully. @ the time I
could not display the error msg & have just discovered the Windows Newsgroup.
Per Chucky73 instructions I re-installed defender beta 2 pgm which then
re-installed 1.14.1410.10.
My question is where do I go to find 1.14.1408.8 so that I may apply that
update or do I even need to @ this point? Is it too late?
thanks for any help,

If you have 1410 installed then you do not need to re-install earlier
versions such as 1408.

You should ask questions related to Windows Defender in the Windows Defender
newsgroups, see:

Hi all Ive reloaded defender twice and still come up with same problem. The
update install appears to be ok but then it conitnues poping up wanting to
install update kb915597 a bit frustrating. Haven seen any info on other
discussion groups. Sorry it doesnt provide help but may help those who think
they are going insane.
