Finding a data projector

I have Vista on my laptop I am tryinhgg to use a data projector but I cannot
get the laptop to find it nor can I orkout how to lacte the projector can
someone help?

This is not really a Vista problem.

There might be some symbols on the Function Keys at the top of the keyboard
that you press together with the Fn key to switch which display to use.

There also should be some options in Display Properties in Control Panel,
that you can play around with.

There also might be some software that you laptop manufacturer has for
presentations, and that can control displays. On my Thinkpad, it is called
Presentation Director.
