I just bought a T60, so is it necessary to have both the Fingerprint Reader
and Password protection turned on? The Fingerprint reader is great, but
seems to be a hassle to also enter a password after it accepts my
fingerprint. Is this overkill or a good idea? And how do I turn off
password protection if this is the decision. Thank you.

What is a "T60"?

Generally a fingerprint reader is a convenience device and not intended for
security.
It is not a good idea to attempt to protect financial data, websites etc
with a fingerprint reader for that reason.
