It depends on the application is the best i can say. I don't have the One
Care beta on right now and I get the occasional prompt asking to make an
exception. The default for vista though is only unsolicited inbound
blocking which shouldn't be causing too many breaks, as something that
initiates a event still can listen. Its an elegant balance. You can enable
two way firewall but that isn't the default.
As for what works. I know the one care beta 1.5 which is on connect works
dandy.
