Fix for hangs at 0%

A couple of days ago, I asked for help on a "Hangs at 0%" problem w/Win98.
I received a few suggestions which didn't solve the problem. Today, I found
a fix via the Windows update troubleshooter page:

under the topic, "Scan Hangs at 0%"
I used:

Suggestion 1:

Install the latest scripting engine 5.6 from:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...ist/webdev.asp

I am now working again, and had 6 critical updates waiting for me. YAY!!!
