Fix for KB917283 fail to install

I tried to install above update about 12 times. Got tech support w/all sorts
of deletes installs etc. What worked was to go to controm panel-add/remove
programs. Highlighted Net 2.0 version-went to change and a repair function
appeared. Did the repair-restarted and the install went right thru. Sound
like this worked for a couple of others-worth a try.

Problems with Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0
(KB917283)?

There are frequent problems with the installation of Security Update for
Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0 (KB917283) for many people.

1: So far the quick fix is to Update .NET 2.0 at this link (32Bit):

2: Then attempt to run the (KB917283) update.

Many people never updated the framework and MS never caught it. Some ATI
users may need to disable/exit the Catalyst Control center before updating
the framework.
