Whenever I sign on to WLM I get a window pop up and say that I need to
install Flash Player. I click on install and it says that it has been
installed. When I restart WLM the changes will take effect. This happens
everytime for about a month now. Driving me CRAZY.

I also am trying to use a webcam with WLM and it doesn't even show me the
icon to make a video call. I went so far as to take the wecam I bought back
to the store and bought a Microsoft brand one and I still doesn't work on my
l/t with Vista.

I install on my hhusbands desktop with XP Pro and no problems.

What is going on?????

Hi DJ,

Did you run Audio and Video Setup within Windows Live Messenger.

Flash Player? Go into Programs and remove the current Flash Player
installed in Vista and reboot.

Make sure that Windows Live Messenger is not running when you install
the Flash Player from Adobe.

After you reboot, go to http://www.adobe.com/downloads/ and download the
Adobe Flash Player and install it. Reboot the computer to lock all the
changes.

Now the first time you use Windows Live Messenger, you will need to
reinstall the Flash Player for Windows Live Messenger and Vista. Once
installed, sign out of Windows Live Messenger and exit the program. Do not
need to reboot. Now restart Windows Live Messenger and sign in. It should
work fine now.

This exactly described the problems I have been having, and I would like to
say thanks to thecreator for solving it for me. It wasn't a serious problem
but boy was it aggravating
