Flashing Blue screen/ Blue lines

While installing Vista on my laptop I left it to finish installing and it
ended up shutting down to hibernate. When I brought it back up it still had
the installation screen on, but it was flashing between a light blue screen
and light blue lines down the screen with the normal desktop stuff behind it.
It made it really hard to see what was going on. I let the installation
complete and after it was done it restarted and everything was fine and
dandy. Well tonight I was shutting down the laptop and accidently clicked
the button to hibernate instead of shut down and when I turned it back on it
was flashing the blue screen and the up and down lines again. I shut down
the computer and now it's fine. Any suggestions on why hibernation isn't
working right?

If you haven't already done so, install the latest drivers for your graphics
card.

At the time it had the latest everything. It was brand spanken new. If the
graphics card is outdated now, how do I update it?

seeing it is a lap top, start at the lap top manufacturers web site and look for newer drivers . download and install them.

Did you go to the manufacturers website and download any updated drivers? My
brand new card had newer drivers on the website than in the box.
