Flawed NVIDIA ATA update now "Important"???

I just got home from vacation and noticed that the previously "Optional"
NVIDIA ATA update that turns ATA drives into SCSI ones (at least from a
Activation perspective...) was automatically installed as an "Important"
update. And yes, now my ATA drives are stating that they're SCSI.

Is this just me, or is everyone now required to install this update that
will mess up your activation?

That is precisely why I select to auto down load updates and not install, so
that i can see update and then decide which ones to install.
Some driver updates are not necessarily better for the system, even though
they appear to be the right ones.
