Flow control setting in Intel PROSet?

I have a Flow Control Setting in my Intel PROSet for wired connections which
by default is set to "generate and respond", or I can turn it "off". Will
this setting affect Windows Live Messenger in any way? The description
listed for the flow control setting is: Pauses packet transmission on receipt
of full flow control frame and Send full flow control frame to notify the
other side to stop transmission.

Default = Generate and Respond.

Greetings,

I doubt this would cause any significant change in Messenger.
