hello,
i am trying to get my laptop working with another monitor, my laptop screen is broken, i don't want to buy a new screen for it yet.

had the screen working, i installed ie9, then started having programs shutdown often, not sure if ie 9 is the problem, anyway, i have tried the fn = f4 but it won't work, tried safe mode it won't work, tried using msconfig, i disabled all startup items, i checked off safe boot in boot options, restarted computer but it won't boot into external screen. i can see lines and colour on my laptop screen where its broken.

any suggestions

thanks oliver
