Folder icon problems!!

I have just customised my folder icons to display an individual picture
to demonstrate the contents within through:-

Right clicking the folder then

Customize - 'folder pictures' - choose file etc

This works fine displaying the picture in the designated folder but
these selected pictures are showing up in other folders which I have
not touched. Most I can 'restore defaults' but others e.g. program
files and windows folders I can't.

Why is this happening and how can I stop it/restore defaults (I don't
have system restore point)

I have the same exact problem... only wanted to apply the change to a
single folder and now ALL folders with pictures and videos in them are
displaying the same picture.

I do have a restore point but know there's a way to stop this without
restoring.

Any ideas would be met with great appreciation!
