Folder was incorrectly converted to file

Please can someone assist me i am using vista home basic , i accidently
converted a folder to a file i do not know how i did this , i was working in
windows explorer at the time when i did this.

I urgently need to revert this file back to a folder.

You have deleted the folder that the file was saved in!
In Windows Explorer, under Documents, create a NEW folder(calling it what
you want to), and drag and drop the file into it.

Or, drag and drop it into an existing folder.

Hi John,

I'm sorry, but what you are saying doesn't make sense. A folder is part of
the directory structure, a file is an item that is housed within a folder.
One cannot suddenly become the other any more than a piece of paper can
become a file cabinet.

Perhaps the icon has changed? Please accurately describe what you had and
what you have now.

Can you ex[lain in great detail your post because it makes no sense. Explain to us how you converted a folder to a file which is not possible
