it might help if you run
some disk maintenance,
like cleanup, checkdisk and
defrag.
then see were you stand on
the issue.
right click on the drive
and the "properties" page
with these options will
be provided.
incidentally, before doing
the above, be sure to make
a copy of your images onto
another partition or disk or
upload them to skydrive
for free at microsoft.com.
