I thought that by selecting 'Apply to Folders' in Folder Options it would
apply
to all folders.
But I still find myself changing the folders to 'List' and removing the
column headers.
I have Vista Basic sp2 and have thought they would have corrected this by
now. Or, is
there a problem with my system?

Thanks,
James

It should apply to all folders, but you have to read the small print. If you
look closely at the option it says that it applies to "all folders of this
type".

There are various subcategories of folder Documents, Pictures and videos
etc, so you may have to repeat the process a few times until you've covered
all the various types.

Having said that Vista is undeniably forgetful in this area. Symptomatic of
Window's old age perhaps.

No, there's nothing wrong with your system. Windows 7 Explorer still has the same
problem, amongst others, so I don't think they will sort out Vista's Explorer problems
any time soon.

Hello James,

You can use METHOD TWO in the tutorial below to apply a folder view to
all folders regardless of what their "folder template" is.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Give this script a try: RemenberFolders.

You can download it here:
