Even if I select "Use Windows Classic Folders" it looks nothing like XP.
Can I get this back? I want yellow folders, not colored Icons, and the rest.

Thanks!

You can't get it to look exactly like XP, there are just some things in
Vista you will have to accept.

Hi, is there any way to get close? I want to see a path and a hierarcy when
I open folders. This is killing me.

I started a thread on how much I disliked the new file mismanagement system.

http://www.microsoft.com/communities...e-0e3091672ab2

These options were suggested as free alternatives to Vista's Explorer

http://www.snapfiles.com/screenshots/ultraexplorer.htm
http://www.snapfiles.com/screenshots/cubicexplorer.htm
http://www.snapfiles.com/screenshots/powerdeskfree.htm
http://www.snapfiles.com/screenshots/explorerxp.htm

One of those programs looked a lot like XP. Or was it just because it was
blue? LOL

Thanks Andre. I have been reading your blog. what is a breadcrum? I want
native Windows 3.1 file and folder views. Is there any way to get it, or
should I just open a dos prompt? :-(

You said you wanted to the address path to your folders, currently the
location of the address path has been replaced with what is known as the
BreadCrumb menu as the default display.

As for hierarchy, you can also view this in the left pane by clicking the
Folders button if its not displayed. The current options you request are
available by click Organize > Folder and Search Options > under the
'General' (tab)
