After a windows update, I knoticed that there are some newly created folders
on the root directory. I didn't know if these were temp files or not. They
are small in size and have strange titles like "af732e3e1c7". The subfolder
is "sp1". Can someone let me know if I can delete them or not.
Thanks,
tmbrock

They may or may not be temporary files, I wouldn't delete them.

Those folders are normally deleted after the update.
Have you rebooted since the update?
Reboot and see if the folders are still there.
Either delete them or move them to a different location for a time.
Then when you are confident there are no associated problems, delete them.
