Folders with Future Dates

I reset my PC clock on January 1 back to Dec to troubleshoot a problem in
Quicken 2006. I mistakenly left 2006 in the calander for a very short
period. During that time, files with Dec 31,2006 were created. Several of
those files are in Windows Prefetch which I know can be deleted with no harm,
but also one folder in WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\S-1-5-18 was
dated 12/31/2006. It is 81830fade50434252c160da6e86e315c and contains two
STATE Files. The files within this folder are dated in Oct 2005. What
should I do about this one folder?

Thanks for your help.

Ensure that the update is installed first. Open the *update* folder
inside of the *81830fade50434252c160da6e86e315c* folder and check for a
KBxxxxxx.cat file. That will give you the KB number of the update. Check
in Add/Remove Programs to see if it is installed. If it is, you can
delete the contents of the Download folder by stopping the Automatic
Updates service, deleting the contents, then restarting the AU service.

It should be installed as you've not been prompted to reinstall that
specific update, correct ?

Unable to open the two files...their file type is STATE and I couldn't find
an application that would open them. Any ideas?
