I have been able to show only one open folder at a time on my
screen.Normally, when I 'drag and drop' or 'cut and paste' ,opening two
folders makes it thst much easier to do. I went to 'Folder Options' and
selected "Open each folder in its own window" but it doesn't work. When I
open the second folder it replaces the first.
Can't keep both open on the screen. Anyone have a suggestion?

Just open two instances of Windows Explorer.

Did you click to apply when you change the tick for folder opening in
control panel?

You have to close the navigation pane for this to work.

Thanx for your help. On the subject of copy and paste, I happened to notice
a "new" choice called copy/move to folder. If you select that,a tree graph
appears and you can point to your ' copy to folder'.
And closing navigation pane works too. Also, opening another browser window
will get the job done too. I appreciate your time.

And I appreciate your acknowledgement. Vista is quite different that XP,
from many angles, and the UI not the least of them. If one "soldiers on,"
imho, one is rewarded.

Thanks,

Lang
