OK. I'm new here, but I was looking for an answer to this simple
question and I cannot find it.. I feel very silly...!.. well, my
qesution is:
When explorer folders, I chose to "see folders" option and this put my
explorer folders view as classic view (where the folders are shown at
the left of the screen)...
Now I would like to return to the original view (Vista view) and I do
not know how to do that...

thanks a lot for your help.

Hi antifashion,

Welcome to Vista Forums.

I think this is what you meant:

In a Windows Explorer window
1. Click on "Organize" and "Folder and Search Options"
2. Under the General tab, dot "Show preview and filters"
3. Click OK

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Ok. Maybe you are talking about a different location you changed this
in.

Check to make sure that you have "Windows Vista" selected in Themes
here:

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/87...-settings.html

Also, check to make sure that you have the "Windows Aero" color scheme
selected afterwards here:

Thanks Shawn,

I did what you suggested, but I still have the same "classic view" or
"folders view" Changing the theme just changed my background to the
original VIsta beckground... and not the folders view..

This is my actual explorer view...

I rememeber that I could change between classic view and vista view
(easily), but now, I don't know how to do that..

If you uncheck the "Navigation Pane" in Organize>Layout does that give you
what you want?

I'm sorry antifashion, can you give me more details on what is no
showing now in the attached image that you are wanting. I'm just no
understanding I believe

If this is what you mean, you can click on "View" or "Views" to chang
the way the file and folder icons look. "Details" is the defaul
setting.

Well, apart from showing the menu bar which is easily hidden, that
looks pretty 'Vista-ish' to me!

Right-click on the desktop, choose Personalize, at the lower left click on
Taskbar and Start Menu. Then click on the Start Menu tab. Place a check in
Start menu. Apply> OK.

Click on the 'Folders' header beneath 'Favorite Links' to collapse it to the
bottom of the Navigation pane.
